Hello, I am Liam
I’m a project manager. A parent. An expat currently living in Seattle, United States.
A few years ago, I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually opened a new chapter in life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to United States wasn't in the plan for the long term. Like many expat moves, it began as a work opportunity and soon grew into something far larger.
The first months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, fresh expectations. Everyday tasks seemed more complicated than they should.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning by doing. But gradually, routines formed. We discovered places that worked for us, met other families, and started building something that felt stable.
Why I Built Subtle Brook Market
Most information online was either corporate-level relocation advice or surface-level tourism material. What was missing was honest, day-to-day family perspective.
